We can supply and program a brand-new key to match your vehicle, while deactivating the lost one so it’s useless — even if stolen.
How long will it take?
It depends on:
- Key type – remote fob, keyless entry, or transponder
- Car make & model
- Stock availability – we carry a wide range of key blanks and, in most cases, can get you back on the road the same day.
Can I get a key without the original?
Yes! All we need is your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
Will I need new locks?
Usually not. For modern vehicles, we can reprogram your car so the lost keys no longer work. This is done with specialist diagnostic equipment — quick, secure, and no lock replacement needed.
Insurance cover for lost keys
Some insurance policies include lost/stolen key cover. Check your documents — but also check whether claiming will affect your no-claims bonus.
If your car keys are stolen
We can:
- Deprogram the stolen keys so they can’t be used.
- Reconfigure locks and ignition barrels (on certain vehicles) for extra security.
